In fact, G-Knob is based on Bluetooth 5 (LE) and Bluetooth Mesh, which is actually supported by the ESP32-S3 low-power Bluetooth subsystem. Hence, G-Knob supports access to various BLE Mesh node devices and is suitable for general infrared controllers, motors, sensors, PIR detectors, etc.Additionally, G-Knob can automatically discover new devices nearby and display them on its screen. Users need to click only the "OK" button to connect G-Knob to the new device.

It supports AES-XTS-based flash encryption, RSA-based secure boot, digital signature and HMAC.
